The candidate will be part of the Senior Family Dog Project at the Department of Ethology (ELTE, Budapest, Hungary) conducting MR and fMRI studies. We are looking for someone who is willing to immerse her/himself in dog fMRI as you will be involved in every step from study design to publishing. Senior Family Dog Project is studying dog aging with non-invasive methods on companion dogs.
REQUIREMENTS:
– finished PhD studies/PhD degree in one of the following fields: medical, veterinary, biophysics, physics, biology, psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related discipline
– high proficiency in English
– ability to work in teams
– openness to learn new things, and an ability to learn quickly
The candidate should have a background in one of the following topics:
– analysing fMRI datasets (knowledge of MATLAB/spm)
– operating MR scanners (e.g. modifying scanning protocols)
– (human) cognitive aging literature
– physiology of aging
– designing and planning research (preferably in cognitive science)
– data analysis and statistics
– neuroanatomy (preferably dog)
– conducting animal experiments (FELASA C-equivalent certificate)
– evaluating MR images (e.g. brain volumetry)
