New “LENDÜLET” Research Group led by Attila Andics

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences has launched its programme of excellence for young researchers, “Lendület” in 2009. This year one of our colleagues, Attila Andics, brain researcher, was granted the opportunity to start a new research group with support from this programme.

In his project titled “Comparative brain imaging in mammals” he will study the role of learning from auditory information in vocal social processing using behavioural and brain imaging experiments comparing dogs, miniature pigs, macaques and humans. The aim of his research is to understand the role of biological and cultural evolution of the human language and supporting socio-cognitive competences better.

Congratulations!
